This privacy policy describes how we use your personal information. It applies to activity on our site related to Sean Long for MBOE and all of its associated entities. Donations

When you contribute to Sean Long for MBOE, we collect your name, postal address, phone number, email address, occupation, employer, and, in some cases, employer’s address, depending on the type of contribution you’re making. Campaign finance law requires that we send your name, address, occupation, and employer information along with details of your donation to the recipient of your contribution and report this information in our reports to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission. Each candidate, committee, or organization receiving your donations may also include this information in their regulatory reports. New Jersey reports are typically available through the state agency designated to oversee campaigns and elections. 

Credit card information entered to our donation form is collected by Donorbox and, along with Stripe, used for payment processing. Stripe also uses this information for fraud detection/prevention.

Volunteering

When you submit the form offering to volunteer, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the way in which you’d like to help. This information is captured via a Google Form. Beyond that form, this information is shared only within the campaign and its volunteers.

Contacting Us

When you send us a message, whether by the form on this site or directly via email, we will receive your email address and any other information you share. This information will be used to address your message, including responding to any requests or suggestions.

Cookies

Some parts of this web site use cookies. A “cookie” is a small string of text which is stored on your computer and sent back to the web site on subsequent requests. This lets the web site connect individual requests into visits and provide a better experience to the site visitor. Cookies may also be used to gather statistics regarding the number of distinct visits/visitors received and to measure the popularity/effectiveness of individual pages on this site.

Third-Party Vendors

As mentioned above, payment processing of donations is provided by Donorbox and Stripe. Form processing and email services are provided by Google. Web and email services are provided by TAG Online. The provision of these services requires limited access to your information.

With whom we share your data

Beyond what is written above, we will not use your personal information nor share it outside our campaign without your permission unless we believe it is necessary to share personal information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we will use or share only as much of your information as is required for this purpose.

Over time, we may be required to update the policies described above. Any such changes will be posted to this page.
